As a new year begins, everything looks fresh! Looking back on 2025, Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases made unremitting efforts and gained fruitful achievements in the academic field, and continued to be covered in the China Science Citation Database (CSCD) (core collection), Chinese Scientific and Technological Paper and Citation Database (CSTPCD), World Journal Clout Index of Scientific and Technological Periodicals, Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation (RCCSE) Chinese Core Academic Journals (Grade A), and High-quality Sci & Tech Journals in Preventive Medicine and Hygiene (T2). Moreover, the journal was supported by the grant from the China Sci & Tech Journals Capacity Improvement and Expansion Program.
According to 2025 China Scientific and Technical Journals Citation Reports (Core Edition) released by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC), the journal had an impact factor of 1.22 and ranked third among core journals in the field of basic medical sciences. These accomplishments depend on supports from multiple parties: the strong support from the competent authority and sponsoring organizations, which has provided us clear guidance for journal publication; the meticulous guidance from editorial board members and reviewers, which has steadily improved the quality of publications; the careful writing by authors, who have provided high-quality manuscripts; and the enthusiastic attention from readers, which has given us the motivation to move forward.
