Fig. 1
Effects of different drug concentrations of aqueous extracts of various antiparasitic herbs on the protoscolices of E. granulosus in vitro Ⅰ: High concentration group; Ⅱ: Medium concentration group; Ⅲ: Low concentration group. A: Blank control group; B: Albendazole group; C: B. javanica; D: M. toosendan; E: P. hydropiper; F: P. granati; G: Q. linn; H: A. catechu; I: C. fortunei; J: D. trifoliata; K: S. iridis; L: G. chinensis; M: A. pilosa. Compared with the blank control group, a, P < 0.01; b, P > 0.05.
Fig. 2
Effect of aqueous extracts of different antiparasitic herbs on the morphology of E. granulosus at high concentrations for 72 h in vitro (× 100) A: Blank control group, the protoscolices were morphologically normal; B: Albendazole group, minor damage to the germinal layer of the original scalp; C-E: Aqueous extracts of B. javanica; M. toosendan, P. hydropiper, respectively. The edges of the protoscolices were blurred, the structure was loose, and the matrix dissolved; F-M: Water extract of P. granati, Q. linn, A. catechu, C. fortunei, D. trifoliata, S. iridis, G. chinensis, A. pilosa, respectively, the protoscolices were morphologically normal, and each part was complete and clear.
Fig. 3
Effects of high concentrations of crude extracts of antiparasitic herbs on the protoscolices of E. granulosus in vitro ($\bar{x}±s$, n = 6) A: Blank control group; B-D: Flavonoid crude extracts of B. javanica, M. toosendan and P. hydropiper, repectively; E-G: Polysaccharide crude extracts of B. javanica, M. toosendan and P. hydropiper, repectively; H-J: Saponin crude extracts of B. javanica, M. toosendan and P. hydropiper, repectively; K-M: Alkaloid crude extracts of B. javanica, M. toosendan and P. hydropiper, repectively. Compared with the blank control group, a, P < 0.01; b, P > 0.05.
Fig. 4
Effect of crude extract of different antiparasitic herbs on the morphology of E. granulosus at high concentrations for 72 h in vitro (× 100) A: Flavonoid group; B: Polysaccharide group; C: Saponin group; D: Alkaloid group. The protoscolices showed normal morphology in blank control group. In the flavonoid groups of B. javanica and M. toosendan and in the saponin groups of B. javanica and P. hydropiper, the protoscolices were wrinkled, and their structures were blurred and opaque, and their matrix were dissolved. In the alkaloid group of P. hydropiper, there were minor damage to the germinal layer of the original scalp. The protoscolices showed normal morphology in the flavonoid group of P. hydropiper, the polysaccharide groups of B. javanica, M. toosendan and P. hydropiper, the saponin group of M. toosendan, and the alkaloid groups of B. javanica and M. toosendan.
