Abstract: With the rapid development of nanotechnology in recent years, metal nanoparticles have shown promising future in application in medicine, and being gradually popularized due to their unique physicochemical properties. They are advantageous over traditional methods in detection and treatment of common infectious diseases. This review introduces applications of nanogold-based immunolabeling technology in pathogen detection, mainly involving in immunochromatography, biosensor preparation, and probe technology, as well as updated research advances in application of nanogold and nanosilver in anti-infection treatment.
