A SURVEY OF HUMAN INTESTINAL PARASITES IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS OF NORTHWESTERN HENAN PROVINCE

Abstract: Forty two pilot spots located in the mountainous areas of 10 counties in Henan Province were randomly selected for stool examination to detect human intestinal parasites. A total of 21 812 stool specimens were examined. Twenty one species of parasites were found during the investigation, including nematodes (7 species), taeniae (3 species), trematodes (3 species) and protozoa (8 species). The overall infection rate in the examined people was 56.6%.
