Abstract: Hainan Province is situated in the southernmost part of China, where the tropical climate, complicated natural environment and various kindsr of eservoirs were favorable to the transmission of a variety of parasites. This review covers published papers and unpublished data based on surveys which were pursued by the authors from 1966 to 1989. Except for 19 species of common parasites which had been reported previously, 17 species were rarely discovered ones in situ, which included Macracanthc rhynchus hirudinaceus, Plasmodiurn ouale, Isospora belli, Raillietina celebensis, Hymenolepis diminuta, Spiromefra mansoni, C a pill aria hepatica, Rhabditella axei, Rhabditis homi-nis, Ternidens diminutus, Fasciola hepatica, Faseiola gigantica, Fasciolopsis buski, Dicrocoelium dentriticum, Clonorchis sinensis, Paragonimus voestermani and Heterophyi-dae.
