Morphology of the eggs of Opisthorchis viverrin and Clonorchis sinensis under a light microscope (× 1 000) A-C: Eggs from case 1-3 samples (Opisthorchis viverrin); D-F: Eggs from case 4-6 eggs samples (Clonorchis sinensis). The morphological characteristics of the two types of eggs were extremely similar, both resembling sesame seeds, with a light yellow-brown color and a narrow and covered end. The eggs contain follicles.
