Abstract: "85012",a new anthelmintic containing amidine synthesized in our laboratory, was ex perimeatally effective against Nippostrongylus braziliensis an.d Ancylostoma caninum. In acute and subacute toxicity test,it was proved lowly toxic. There was no evidence that the drug induced any damages to main organs and tissues of animals. In order to evaluate its potential mutagenicity and teratogenicity, micronucleus test, bone marrow metaphase analysis,CHL cells chromosomal aberration assay, spermatic aberration test as well as teratogenicity test were performed. No mutagenic and teratogenic effects were observed.
